Has traveled around with a backpack all his adult life. He has soared with bald eagles in Alaska and swam with penguins in South Africa. He has blown darts with the Penan in Borneo and laughed at Germans swimming with dolphins off the coast of Zanzibar. He has witnessed the sun span the curvature of the planet from the summit of Kilimanjaro and shared coco leaves with indigenous Peruvians from a spire looking down at Machu Piccu. and other stuff. Willis has been an appreciated force in the local art world for some time, showing mostly at alternative spaces, bars, and restaurants. He has a devoted following in the music scene, and in addition to his paintings he designs album covers and T-shirts and works on music videos. In that respect he could be Seattle's Raymond Pettibon minus the easy nihilism.
